APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Complete the online scholarship application.
2. Print a copy of the Scholarship Application page, after you submit your application.
3. Download the Scholarship Certification Form from the AHETEMS Web site.
4. Mail the Scholarship Certification Form, Official Transcript, Personal Statement, and Letter of Recommendation to AHETEMS postmarked by April 1.

DESCRIPTION

Merit-based scholarships are awarded, in the total amount of $5,000 to undergraduate students, who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in engineering.

ELIGIBILITY

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• SHPE member in good standing both at the time of application and throughout the academic year.
• Must be from SHPE Region 6: IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MN, MO, OH, WI
• Be enrolled full-time (12 hrs undergraduate) during the academic year at an accredited university in the United States or Puerto Rico.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0.
• Major in any engineering field.

The AHETEMS Scholarship application includes all of the following:

• Scholarship Certification Form (Available Online)
• Personal Statement
• Transcript
• Recommendation Letter

DEADLINE

The applicant must submit the application materials as a single, complete package postmarked by April 1.   No materials will be accepted by fax or email.
