APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Complete the online scholarship application.
2. Print a copy of the Scholarship Application page, after you submit your application.
3. Download the Scholarship Certification Form from the AHETEMS Web site.
4. Mail the Scholarship Certification Form, Official Transcript, Personal Statement, and Letter of Recommendation to AHETEMS postmarked by April 1.

DESCRIPTION

Merit and need-based scholarships are awarded, in the total amount of $5,000 to undergraduate students, who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in civil engineering, computer engineering and computer science.

ELIGIBILITY

• Undergraduate students completing their sophomore credit hours and entering their junior classification year.
• Must be attending a university with an active SHPE student chapter in the United States or Puerto Rico.
• Be enrolled full-time (12 hrs undergraduate) during the academic year at an accredited university in the United States or Puerto Rico.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0.
• Major in civil engineering, computer engineering or computer science.

The AHETEMS Scholarship application includes all of the following:

• Scholarship Certification Form (Available Online)
• Personal Statement
• Transcript
• Recommendation Letter

DEADLINE

The applicant must submit the application materials as a single, complete package postmarked by April 1.   No materials will be accepted by fax or email.
